Teenager airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after Cork crash

A YOUNG man was airlifted to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision in east Cork on Monday night.

A garda spokesperson said Youghal gardaí had attended the scene of a traffic incident involving a single car on the N25 at Burgess Cross, Killeagh, shortly after 8pm last night.

“The motorist, a 19-year-old man, was taken by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital.

“It is understood that his injuries are serious,” the spokesman said.
