Bandile Shabalala’s family seeks legal advice to take action against Shoprite

JOHANNESBURG – Shoprite did not follow proper protocol in dealing with theft, says Moeketsi Tsotetsi, Bandile Shabalala’s uncle.

Shabalala died after a Shoprite employee locked him in a cold room.

The family is now seeking legal advice to help them take action against the store.

The family wonders why the police were not called to deal with the matter.

An eyewitness says Shabalala wasn’t moving at all when security guards dragged him and threw him outside.

They claim they were promised autopsy results would be available in four days starting Monday.
