Ange Postecoglou says Tottenham Hotspur’s MCG visit will help boost interest in Saturday’s men’s A-League grand final

Ange Postecoglou insists playing Tottenham Hotspur in Melbourne the same week as the men’s A-League grand final can shed light on Australian football, rather than be a distraction.

Postecoglou’s Spurs will play English Premier League side Newcastle United at the MCG on Wednesday night.

A packed schedule of football begins with the Geordies then taking on the A-League Men All Stars on Friday night, before Arsenal play the A-League Women All Stars in a double-header at Docklands.

As a media throng filled Melbourne’s Rectangular Stadium theater for Postecoglou’s pre-match press conference alongside superstar captain Son Heung-min, his former Melbourne Victory charges prepared at nearby Gosch’s Paddock for the grand final on Saturday against Central Coast in Gosford.
