Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Pedri lead Barcelona in Xavi’s farewell

Barcelona players have said goodbye to Xavi after the club confirmed that he would not continue as first-team coach.

Lamine Yamal was one of the first to send a message to Xavi, thanking the coach for trusting him at such a young age and making him a regular in the first team.

“Thank you for always trusting me. It has been a pleasure to learn and work with you, sir. Forever a culé legend, good luck,” she wrote on Instagram.

Her fellow teen sensation also wrote on Instagram. I wish you the best in the future.”

Ilkay Gundogan has also posted on social media following the news of Xavi’s departure.

“Thank you, Xavi! Very grateful to have worked together this season. Thank you for bringing me to FC Barcelona last summer! I wish you all the best for your future! #legendofthegame,” he wrote.
