More than S$5 million worth of vaping products seized in Woodlands warehouse raid

HSA and ICA warned that the purchase, use and possession of electronic vaporizers are prohibited.

For importing, distributing or selling the products, first-time convicts face a fine of up to S$10,000, a jail term of up to six months, or both.

For a second and subsequent offence, a person can face a fine of up to S$20,000, a jail term of up to 12 months, or both.

Attempts to stay longer in Singapore are also taken seriously by the ICA.

Those who overstay a period not exceeding 90 days can be fined up to S$4,000, face a jail term of up to six months, or both.

Arrested immigration violators will also be deported and barred from re-entering Singapore after being sentenced or paying fines.
