Mass memorial service to be held for victims of George Building collapse

JORGE – A mass memorial service will be held on Tuesday for the victims of the George Building collapse.

Thirty-four people died and several more are still being treated in hospital.

Some of the dead are foreign citizens and their remains must be repatriated to their countries of origin.

They come from Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Lesotho and Mozambique.

International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor is expected to attend the service.
