The Minister of Commerce presents a spending plan of 110.8 billion euros

DODOMA: Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Ashatu Kijaji has presented her ministry’s budget estimates for the 2024/25 fiscal year, seeking approval from lawmakers for a total spending plan of $110.8 billion.

Presenting her ministry’s plan in Parliament on Tuesday, the Minister outlined six main priorities for its implementation, including exemplary and strategic projects in the country.

Dr Kijaji told the House that her ministry plans to strengthen industrial production and service delivery capacity by improving infrastructure, creating an enabling environment and improving the investment climate in industry and business.

Other priorities include stimulating the development of people by improving projects and programs in the economic and social sectors through education and vocational training.

He also mentioned carrying out market intelligence on products and services produced in the country for strategic and international markets, as well as stimulating the growth of the private sector in the country.
