Eskom considers small nuclear reactors at old power stations

Eskom is investigating the deployment of small modular nuclear reactors at old coal-fired power stations when they reach the end of their useful life, said the group’s generation executive, Bheki Nxumalo.

Nxumalo made the remarks during a panel discussion at the Enlit Africa energy conference, which took place in Cape Town this week.
