FG invites Nigerians to apply for African Union job offer

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on interested and qualified Nigerians to apply for employment opportunities in the African Union.

The Ministry’s spokesperson, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, made this announcement on Tuesday, May 21 in Abuja.

Ambassador. Eche Abu-Obe said the AU is seeking to fill 24 vacant positions in various locations, including Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Abuja, Nigeria; Libreville, Gabon; Nairobi, Kenya; and Lusaka, Zambia.

It was also mentioned that interested candidates should apply through the Union Careers Portal, available at the following link: http://careers.au.int.

“The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform qualified Nigerians about the vacancies available in the African Union, a continental union of 55 member states with a strategic framework to meet Africa’s goal of promoting inclusion and sustainable development, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. .

“The African Union (AU) is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for twenty-four (24) vacant positions in duty stations in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia, Abuja – Nigeria, Libreville – Gabon, Nairobi – Kenya and Lusaka – Zambia.

“Interested applicants should apply through the UA Careers Portal, using the following link: http://careers.au.int. Information on deadlines for submitting applications can be obtained on the aforementioned website,” Abu-Obe said.

The scholarship is aimed at postgraduate, master’s and doctoral programs.

The scholarship is said to cover living expenses and travel allowances.

The ministry further stated,

The Government of the Slovak Republic revealed that it approved the establishment of the National Scholarship Program in 2005 to support the mobility of students, doctoral students, university professors, researchers and artists.

The National Scholarship Program is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
