Four big multimillion-dollar winners have been chosen so far this year, with the top prize hit in April when a Wellington family syndicate won $30 million.

An Auckland couple won $12.2 million in the last draw in 2023.

In mid-2023, a Christchurch couple who won one of the biggest lottery draws in recent history kept their ticket hidden in their sock drawer for days while they decided what they would do with their winnings.

The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, said they were overwhelmed by the magnitude of the win and needed time to process it before coming forward.
