Gardaí are hunting two balaclava-clad raiders who stole jewelery worth thousands of euros from a house in Meath last month.

The home invasion was featured on RTÉ’s Crimecall program on Monday night.

Gardaí in Laytown are investigating the robbery in Stamullen, Co. Meath which occurred on Wednesday, April 24 this year.

At approximately 3:15 pm, two male suspects entered the property and took a substantial amount of high value items.

The pair stole expensive jewelery worth thousands of euros, some of which was very sentimental.

A crystal chandelier was stolen; In images broadcast by RTÉ the cable could be seen dragging along the ground.

The thieves dropped the lamp and then threw the broken pieces over a wall.

They left the scene in a black Audi.
