Pialligo, Canberra: Woman found dead in house

A woman was found dead in a house while a man was arrested following the grim discovery.

The 51-year-old woman’s body was found by paramedics responding to a call for assistance on Kallaroo Road in Pialligo, Canberra, about 9.45am on Tuesday.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

ACT Policing officers attended the home and began investigating the circumstances of the woman’s death.

A 52-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and assisted police with investigations.

The body of a 51-year-old woman was discovered inside a Canberra home on Tuesday morning.

“At this time no charges have been laid and investigations into the matter continue,” ACT Police said in a statement.

Officers, including forensic specialists, are expected to remain at the semi-rural home on Wednesday as investigations continue.

Police have not released the woman’s suspected cause of death.
