Water rationing planned for Oshana, Ohangwena and Oshikoto regions – News

The Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) has announced a water rationing plan in the northern regions of Ohangwena, Oshikoto and Oshana from Monday to Friday next week.

This is due to scheduled critical maintenance at the Oshakati treatment plant.

In an advisory issued on Tuesday, NamWater announced rationing of water supply from 10pm to 5am.

Customers are urged to use water sparingly during this time and report any water waste to NamWater.

For critical water needs at essential service centers such as hospitals, schools and clinics, residents are advised to contact NamWater Operations Manager Abraham Ashipala on 081 129 9483, Systems Superintendents Raphael Endjala, 081 124 5567 (Ohangwena and Oshana regions) or Nicodemus Ndemwiimba at 081 145. 5267 (Ohangwena and Oshikoto) for possible water supply arrangements via tankers.
