The bodies of two women were found at a property in Nottingham and police believe they may have been there “for some time”.

Police said they were called after concerns were raised about the welfare of people at a property on Hartley Road, in Radford, at 11.04am on Tuesday.

Officers entered the address and found the two bodies inside.

No arrests have been made and it is unclear how the women died.

“There is no immediate risk to the public,” according to Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow of Nottinghamshire Police.

“We are keeping an open mind to what happened at this address and will be working hard over the next few days to establish how and when these two women lost their lives.

“In the meantime, my thoughts – and those of all the other officers involved in this investigation – are with those who have died, their families and friends.”
