Singapore Airlines has confirmed there were four Irish passengers on board its terrifying flight from London, which was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok due to severe turbulence.

Thai airport officials said a 73-year-old Briton had died and 30 were injured, as flight tracking data showed the flight had plummeted 6,000 feet in a matter of minutes.
